The agreement, in plain language.

Kinbase is a record-keeping service for families coordinating a person's care: a timeline, a handbook, compiled briefings, and sharing controls. By creating an account or joining a record, you agree to these terms.

Keep your login to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. Record owners decide who joins their circle and with what role; if someone invites you, your access is what the owner set, and the owner can change it.

Everything your circle puts into a record stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: storing entries, compiling briefings, showing the record to the people you chose. We claim no other rights to it, and our privacy policy governs how it's handled.

Don't use Kinbase to harm or surveil someone, to store records about a person your family has no legitimate caring relationship with, to break the law, or to probe or disrupt the service. Records of vulnerable people deserve extra care, and we will close accounts that abuse that.

The record helps you keep track and communicate. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or monitoring, and no one at Kinbase reads your record watching for emergencies. If someone may be in danger, call 911 before you do anything with an app, including ours.

We work to keep Kinbase reliable, and we back up records with the seriousness they deserve, but no service can promise perfection. We may improve or change features over time; if a change would meaningfully reduce what you can do with your record, we'll say so before it happens.

You can export your record and close your account whenever you want, and deletion means deletion. If we ever discontinue the service, you'll get notice and a real window to export everything first.

Kinbase is provided as-is, and our liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the past twelve months, except where the law says otherwise. These terms are governed by the law of our home state; disputes start with an email before they start with anything else.
